one-to-one

health coaching

The Patterns of Adapting to Health (PATH) show how a person’s involvement in health is due to a much larger adaptive pattern that limits that person’s ability to flexibly adopt new behaviors or change behaviors supporting health.

This insight is relevant to the success of health coaching.  Effective health coaching must adapt itself to the needs, abilities, and motivations of each person. Knowledge of a client's dominant PATH provides rapid insight into these needs, abilities, and motivations. The task of the health coach is to successfully navigate them.
