One-to-one

Focus groups

Health-related focus group insights can be dramatically influenced by the dominant Patterns of Adapting to Health (PATH) represented.

Very often, adults dominated by those PATH with an active interest in health show up at focus groups in higher numbers. They skew results in a way that dramatically under-represents the thinking of community members who have high health needs, but don't have an interest in health and don't care to share their opinions.

PATH Analysis Services
PATH Analysis Services allow health-related focus group recruiters to identify the dominant health priorities of potential focus group participants in advance.

Three key benefits:
  • a greater depth of understanding of each participant in health-related terms
  • ability to identify and recruit adults dominated by specific health behavioral traits such as health care seeking, health information seeking, trust in health providers.
  • a better understanding of how well focus group participants represent all the health behavioral values and priorities of the population of interest.
